EISA was established in 1990 responding to the changing climate in Eastern Europe and today offers shipping services through a network of 22 offices in 6 countries including offices in key ports of the Black Sea and Azov Sea, the Russian Baltic Sea and Mediterranean. Combining an extensive know-how with local expertise and well established links with port facilities, EISA is skillfully able to handle a wide range of tasks ensuring smooth and swift port operations for all types of cargo ships. All EISA local offices maintain full operational status, providing our customers with prompt and top quality services. At the same time our Customers enjoy fully centralized management and financial solutions.
With origins in Constanta Romania in the early 1920s the company initially offered ship supply services. Following steady development the company moved the centre of its activities to Piraeus, Greece in 1950, then the homeport of the growing Greek shipping industry.
Swiftly activities were expanded to include Agency services and in 1990 acting upon the economic opening of Eastern Europe, EISA had spearheaded the creation of a network of highly organized subsidiary offices, to serve the growing markets of the area including Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Georgia, Bulgaria.

Through its regional network EISA provides full agency services for all major trades in our area of interest The company has the skills and resources to handle the particular requirements of all types of ships, including crude, oil and chemical tankers and gas carriers, bulk carriers, general cargo and heavy lift ships, reefers, container ships, timber carriers as well as cruise ships and mega yachts. Agency services are extended besides port operations, liner agency operations, also for ship-to-ship operations, dry-docking and repairs, deliveries of vessels on sale & purchase deals, calls for bunkering or for other requirements including husbandry and protecting Agency for Owners or Charterers.

Founded on its historically extensive geographical coverage of the Black Sea, Eastern Mediterranean and the Baltic, EISA has built a powerful container agency, working both as appointed representative for a number of the world’s leading liner companies (Hapag Lloyd, APL, Hamburg Süd, UFS) as well as representing regional niche carriers active in our area Among services provided by all EISA offices are: • Routing of shipments through carriers represented • An NVOCC service fully covered by ITIC • Tracking shipments with all offices using a uniform database • Full intermodal door-to-door service, whether by road or rail • Mixed break bulk/container service when more cost efficient for the customer • Warehousing, stock control and local deliveries • B/L production, Customs clearance and other formalities • Centralized accounting on request • Centralized operations coordination for customers with shipments in/out of multiple countries
